Botswana Parks

 



With nearly 40% of Botswana devoted to wildlife, this is a self driving adventurers dream destination. Botswana also offers a contrasting wildlife options from the watery channels of the Okavango Delta to the sandy pans of the Kalahari. Botswana is home to most of Africa's animals but it also offers some specials that are unique to the Kalahari. All national park campsites are open with no fences and animals including big gaming wandering through your campsite. The roads in the national parks are maintained by nature and often best left alone in the wet. Botswana remains the top destination for the self driving camper still offering a wild experience that is simply lost in most of Africa. 

The last strong hold of the Rhino is Kharma Rhino sanctuary in Serowe. 

Chobe National Park (including Savute)

One of the highlights of the Botswana wildlife circuit, Chobe national park stretches from the Chobe River to the Linyanti swamps and the iconic Savuti channel which flows to its own tune and home to the legendary lion prides.  


Moremi Game Reserve

The watery channels of Moremi is the home of the Lechwe. 

The Okavango Delta is a unique inland delta which starts in the highlands of Angola, entering Botswana in the narrow pan handle before fanning out in a massive inland delta and vanishing in to the Kalahari sands. This is the ultimate self drivers destination offering some of the best wildlife on earth.

Open skies and horizons that stretch forever, your in the Kalahari. 

The Kalahari dominates most of Botswana but with enough rainfall to support a unique ecosystem. This is wilderness in the its wildest form with very little facilities and only accessible to the fully self sufficient camper. 

Makgadikgadi Pans - Nxai Pan NP, Makgadikgadi NP, Kubu Island

One of the largest salt flats in the the world, the pans support a unique ecosystem on its fringes including an annual Zebra migration that runs in to the pans from northern Botswana. It is also home to all of the big game and offers another spectacle to the Botswana experience.
